Stereo Therapy is a Podcast showcasing the importance of music and mental health and how music is therapeutic to us all.
Hi! I'm your host Lisa! From the time I was young I always loved music and gravitated towards the alternative side but give me anything with a good beat or hook and I'm there. During my early teen years and adult years I sank my teeth into promoting bands, going to basement shows, running around my local scene and Chicago's scene and wanting to be around music as much as I could. I grew up in the burbs of IL, but if you ask me I'm from Chicago and it will always be home but now I'm here in central New Jersey.. Yes, it exists! This podcast is going to have the community feeling of your favorite local show/concert venue you love and can't wait to create that. Music is one of the most important things in my life and I know I am not alone and so many others cling to their favorite artists when they are feeling a certain emotion. I can't wait to bring the stories of so many that have been positively impacted with music and hope to end the stigma surrounding mental health. Please let me know if you would like to share your story! I can't wait to give artists a platform they deserve .Reach out to me and talk music any time!

Short Hi I’m Justine ! I was raised in a household who held music as an important part of upbringing. My dad and aunt played in orchestras since a very young age and playing music was passed on to me. I’ve played multiple instruments and have done vocal lessons and choir. My parents felt live concerts were important so my first concert was Aerosmith at age 11. My music taste is pretty diverse I think because of my upbringing. My love for alt genres really came out more once I started high school. And I started discovering new bands through chat rooms and magazines. Music has always been therapeutic to me throughout my life. I’ve struggled with a few mental illnesses and got officially diagnosed with autism at 34. Music helps connect us all to emotions and each other. I can’t wait to share and hear your stories.
